A Tennessee witness at Johnson City reported watching multiple objects the size of softballs moving to the ground level, according to testimony in Case 85441 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness has been seeing the same objects for over a week, with this report focusing on what occurred at 9:05 p.m. on July 27, 2017. The report was filed for the witness by a friend.

“Now the object comes closer and does not make any noise,” the reporting witness stated. “The light is so bright you cannot look directly at it. Last night it appeared to land behind a barn less than a quarter mile away and emitted a very bright glow. The light then slowly started to fade. On the previous nights it stays stationary with the light coming on occasionally and then moves off horizontally extremely fast. This is out in the country with few houses around. The cattle on the farm next to where this was seen panic and run and moo. This is very frightening for the lady as well.”

Tennessee MUFON Field Investigator Leonteen "Lonnie" Connolly closed this case as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.

“The witness described seeing a small ball of light over the top of her house that would descend to five or six feet from the ground and then the light would go out,” Connolly wrote in his report. “First one, then another would continuously do the same thing. She described them as baseball-sized and so bright they would hurt your eyes, but noiseless as they moved about. After midnight the small balls appeared to land in the field next to her. This happened four nights over the two-week period. On one of the nights she described seeing a large craft that was oblong in shape and about a telephone pole in size that had an extremely bright light and that would move a bit slowly, then turn off the light. The craft appeared from her right and moved to her left.

“In the witness’s thinking there did not seem to be a connection to the light anomalies and the larger craft except that they occurred during the same time period. It is possible that the sight of mysterious objects is not alarming or unusual to this witness because a number of strange incidents have happened to her and to other family members in her group. The statements above were the only ones she provided about the current craft and orbs, but the conversation then turned to the experiences of her family members.

“Based on my opinion of the witness’s sincere attitude during the investigation, her ability to recount the same information similarly during different parts of the conversation, and her matter-of-fact countenance, I will classify this as an Unknown Aerial Vehicle.”
